86 Years of Tradition

Formed in 1929, the Thalian Society is one of five local female societies (sororities) at Whittier College. It is composed of a large and diverse group of women who share a sisterhood and an everlasting bond of friendship. Each individual woman has something unique to bring to the society.

Members of the Thalian Society are characterized by their multi-faceted involvement on Whittier College's campus and their commitment to regularly volunteering and giving back to the Whittier community.

Chance made us SisTers, hearts made us friends. As one of the biggest societies on campus, we pride ourselves in being diverse and incredibly involved at Whittier as well. However, no matter how unique and different we are from each other, we can always count on our sisTers to lean on and come together!

Happy Thalian Thursday !
